September 1st, 3:04 a.m.- While on patrol, UWG Police officers spotted a Honda Civic cross the center line several times. When officers made contact with the driver, they could sense a strong odor of alcohol and marijuana. During a search of the vehicle, officers found brass knuckles and two butterfly knives. After giving consent, one of the passengers tested positive for alcohol and was arrested and cited for Consumption Underage.

September 2nd 8:42 a.m.- During the late night hours, an unknown person or group drew a picture of a large penis on the window of a vehicle with shoe polish. The victim's vehicle did not suffer any permanent damage.

September 3rd 2:29 a.m.- UWG Police observed a truck parked in the middle of Maple street with the passenger side door open, blocking west bound traffic, with about five subjects climbing into the three passenger vehicle. The officer followed the truck onto West Georgia Drive and stopped the vehicle. Upon making contact, the officer detected the smell of alcohol in the vehicle. The driver consented to field sobriety, which he passed. Passengers also consented to alcohol testing, and three tested positive for alcohol. Two were arrested for Consumption Underage, and taken to the Carroll County Jail. The third was cited.

September 4th 11:56 a.m.- Police were dispatched to a report of a male subject harassing women at the TLC. Upon responding to the scene, police were told that an older black male was approaching younger women and using vulgar and obscene language of a sexual nature. The reporting victim identified the man and filled out a sworn statement. Police approached the suspect and asked for ID; he could only produce a photocopy of a Georgia state-issued ID. Police, smelling alcohol on his breath, asked if he had been drinking. The suspect stated that he had been drinking that morning, as well as the night before. The suspect claimed that he had simply asked the victim her name and what she liked to do and claimed that she had begun speaking to him in a vulgar way and he ended the conversation there. Stating that he'd been brought there by a student, he said he wanted to attend classes here, but was not yet enrolled; the student identified himself as his friend and confirmed his story. The suspect was then given a criminal trespass order, tested and arrested for being drunk in public.

September 6th 5:55 a.m.- Dispatch issued a call for officers to be on the lookout for a possibly intoxicated driver leaving the Kangaroo gas station on Maple Street heading away from campus. UWG Police located the vehicle, parked at a nearby gas station. Though the officer had parked his car behind the driver's vehicle with the lights on, the driver acted as if the officer was not there and continued to his vehicle from the entrance of the store. Speaking with him just before he got back to his vehicle, and noticing the smell of alcohol, the officer observed his glassy eyes and slurred speech. Because the driver spoke no English, the officer spoke to him in Spanish. The driver denied having consumed alcohol, that he had no license or form of picture ID. The officer performed a field sobriety test and he tested positive on the portable alco-sensor and placed the driver under arrest for driving under the influence and driving without a license.

September 11th 2:49 a.m.- An officer was flagged down by an Arbor View RA, advising the officer that she had received a call concerning underage drinking in one of the rooms. When the RA knocked, the resident opened the door and the officer and RA immediately saw several beer cans in the living room area in plain view. One of the individuals present attempted to hide the can closest to him, while the resident allowed the officer and RA in. All occupants were asked for their IDs, and while the officer was busy verifying the ID of one of the subjects, the other two ran into the resident's room and closed the door. The officer notified them that if they do not return to the living room area, that he would key in under the assumption that they were disposing of evidence. They opened the door, and after receiving consent to search, the officer located a large bottle of brandy in the residents' closet. One of the subjects stated it was his, and he was given the brandy and left. One of the remaining subjects refused to be alco-sensor tested and was told that being under 21, the presence of alcoholic beverages and the attempt to hide it, they would be arrested. He then gave consent to test and both subjects tested positive for alcohol. One was issued a citation, the other was arrested; the arrested subject became belligerent and shouted vulgarities at the officers and the RA. While en route to Carroll County Jail, the subject continued to be verbally belligerent towards the officers.

September 12th 12:12 a.m.- Officers responded to a call of suspected smell of marijuana coming from a room in Arbor View. Upon arrival, the RA's were in the room with several subjects and notified police of several complaints from residents about the smell of marijuana smoking. Upon making contact with the suspect, officers were shown a water bowl with suspected marijuana residue, suspected marijuana roaches in the bowl, a Frisbee with suspected marijuana in a plastic baggie with smoking papers, a green bowl with suspected marijuana seeds and stems, three straws and one gutted cigar wrapper. The suspect admitted that the marijuana was hers and was placed under arrest for marijuana possession.

September 12th 1:54 a.m.- UWG Police observed an Escalade traveling north on Brumbelow before stopping abruptly at the intersection with Avenue C. Putting on its hazard lights, the rear passenger door opened and the passenger proceeded to vomit profusely. The officer approached the vehicle and checked on the passenger to make sure he was okay and the passenger answered that he was. The officer asked for the drivers' license and proof of insurance, and though the driver already had it out before the officer approached, he fumbled in his wallet looking for the insurance card. Smelling alcohol on the driver's breath, the officer asked how much he'd had to drink; through bloodshot eyes, the suspect first stated that he'd had none, and then stated he'd had some beer. The driver failed a field sobriety test and was then placed under arrest for an improper stop, DUI less safe and DUI per se.

September 12th 3:07 a.m.- Officers pulled over a vehicle with a headlight out. After making contact with the driver, officers could note a strong smell of alcohol coming from the vehicle and asked Grubb if he'd been drinking, which he denied. Consenting to field sobriety, the suspect failed the test and tested positive for alcohol on his breath on the portable alco-sensor. The suspect was arrested and the suspect later tested positive on the state administered test. He was cited for DUI, DUI Less Safe, and a Headlight Violation.

September 16th 12:32 a.m.- UWG Police were called to Downs Hall in reference to a suspected smell of marijuana coming from a room. Upon arrival, officers met with RA's and the residents suspected admitted to having smoked in their room. Upon asking if there was more marijuana to be found, they said "Yes", and showed the officers a pill bottle with marijuana inside, a bag of suspected marijuana in his desk drawer, a smoking pipe in a multi-colored bag. Asked if there were any more, they denied it; however, when officers asked for consent to search one of the suspects reached into a drawer and pulled out another baggie of suspected marijuana. The suspects stated that they had purchased the marijuana in Peachtree City. Upon further searching officers found eight cans of beer in the refrigerator, though both residents were underage. Upon searching one of their vehicles, the officer located another glass pipe. Both were arrested and cited for a Violation of Georgia's Controlled Substance Act.
