First and foremost, I am not ashamed to say that I support Dr. Sewell's e-mails to the anonymous student that were also reportedly received by many other black students on campus. If you would allow me to clarify, I would be honored to explain why a white, recent graduate of UWG, is supporting what many are taking as actions of philandering at best, and racist at worst.

Just as every video game has its ending, I regrettably must also bring my gaming column to a close as the long-awaited "graduation ending" quickly approaches in the game of "my life." Instead of mulling over what last game reviewed would have the most impact or be the most symbolic, I decided it was impossible to pick one.

March 13th. "Explosions in the Sky" are set to perform at the Variety Playhouse for an unprecedented two shows, one in the afternoon and another in the evening. The Austin, Texas natives are no stranger to the Atlanta area, as they have been playing here for roughly five years now, presenting their unique instrumental music to larger and larger crowds every time.

Ultimate frisbee playoffs close another season

Every spring here at West Georgia, two major intramural sports bring our school year to a close. The main sport that catches attention of UWG students is softball. However, 10 or 11 teams annually sign up for Ultimate Frisbee. The spectator attendance is usually lower, because of game times on Friday afternoons, but for those involved, the lack of a crowd isn't usually a deterrent.

Usually when a star player from West Georgia competes in the Gulf South Conference Tournament, they can only go as far as their team goes and when the team loses, the season is ultimately over.

However, UWG Senior golfer Brandon Bennett was given the opportunity to keep playing after he was selected to compete in the NCAA Division II South/South Central Super Regional.

"It's time to shock the world," screamed PA announcer Ryan Cameron to a sell-out crowd of 20,016 in Phillips Arena during Game 4 of the NBA Playoffs on Monday night. Over the past four days the Atlanta Hawks have done just that and shocked the world.

Preparing for a very important Game 5 that many people believed would never happen is now on, Wednesday night in Boston.
