Alcohol Awareness Week observed at UWG

National Alcohol Awareness Week is dedicated to educating students from college campuses across the country. Ronald King is the health educator at the University of West Georgia. His job is to help the UWG community adopt awareness and develop goals by distributing materials, including bulletins, photographs, posters and surveys. Full story

Who are really the minorities on campus?

 

According to the school website, the demographics describe that the American Indian or Alaskan Natives represent 0.3 percent of the population, while Asian or Pacific Islander represent 1.7 percent. The two highest represented ethnicities on campus are Caucasian with 65.4 percent and African American with 25.2 percent.

Jack Kevorkian is known as one of the most central figures in the right-to-die activist campaigns. In the 90s, Dr. Death assisted in the suicide of 130 patients, landing him an eight-year sentence with a release on June 1, 2007.

Wolves win, sack Hornets 24-20

Building upon their strong defense from last week, the University of Wolves’ football team tallied their first win at University Stadium against the Concordia CollegeSelma Hornets since their uplifting 10-9 victory over West Alabama last season.
